Archer & Blitzen puppies arrived

The puppies arrived 1 week early and with me being on a business trip in Hungary. Good that I have such great people around me, that they took care of everything. It was quite the experience, that we all could have done without! Blitzen stick to the timeplan, PLEASE!

However they wanted out and they were not that small, so the vet actually thought we just mistaken the week counting. BUT no, I have checked a 1000 times, and they were born on day 56 from ovulation or day 53 from insemination.

7 puppies but the last one came out not alive and they could not get life into her, RIP. 3 boys and 3 girls in all colors and tails. First one was a black boy with a very short nbt and he reminds me a lot of Hero, brother to Wish from my Jagger & Jesse litter. Hero was hit by a car one year ago and is now in heaven and this boy reminds me of him, so for that he propably will stay. 🖤

First week they struggled some with getting enough food. Not because there was not enough milk in Blitzen, she actually leaked, so much milk was in her. They were not super active but like they were still in their bubble awaiting everything to go automatically and not doing anything on their own. So I had to keep them hanging in the milkbar, so it was stressfull for me. They only gained 20-30 gr per day as maximum, and thursday one week after birth they started with bad stomach. And this has been going on for 1 week. Now it seems it has turned and they are finally getting fat and more active. They now lie spread around in the whelpingbox, not in a pile like they had the first 2 weeks. So I am carefully optimistic and hope they will catch up on the size and weight like the previous litters. 🤞
